Dancing conversations

Oslo National Academy of the Arts

22. September - Kl 15.00

Dancing Conversations is a series of informal meetings for discussion about the art of dance in the point of intersection between theory and practice. For each meeting artists of interest are invited to initiate discussion by presenting their ideas on a given topic. During the CODA festival the choreographers José Navas and Cristina Caprioli have been invited to speak about abstraction and formalism with a point of departure in Caprioli’s statement “Dance is not a language”. In order to achieve an informal and laid-back discussion we situate the guests in proximity to the audience. Dancing Conversations shall be an open forum without a rigid framework where new thoughts and ideas can be voiced.
