Move the sound; Hit your body – Performance concert

Kulturhuset Hausmania

PODIUM

The bass is your guts, the voice is your oceans, the keys are your fingernails, the drums are your heart. We are the instruments embracing your bodies!

The performance band Dromedar has developed for the CODA festival a unique performance concert in collaboration with Kompani F.

Dromedar was established in 2011 by the artists Annette Stav Johanssen, Carl Fredrik Berg and Tommi Damstuen. In 2014 they did the official opening show at the Bucharest Biennale 6, and made the closing ceremony show at the exhibition, The Art of Being Art, Kjartan Slettemark, on the Museum of Contemporary Art, Oslo.
The band has been recognized for their audiovisual presence and for providing renewal to the musical term art core.

Building upon improvised grooves and instantly catching lyrics, the presence of live improvisation makes the driving force of the music. It has been described as atmospheric, transcendental and psychedelically enchanting.  An essential nerve in the performances is also the voice and the poetry, which displays an array of current cultural and indeed political issues.

Kompani F is a new project initiated theater by director Pernille Lindstad, educated at Stockholm’s Dramatiska Högskole (2013). Lindstad has also started Theater F,  which is a new experimental and interdisciplinary scene between Tøyen and Grønland in Oslo.
