Carl André Johansson

Carl André Johansson is educated from Baardar Academy and Baardar International. Since his graduation in 2016 he has worked as a dancer and choreographer. The dance theatre “Mens vi faller” was his choreographic debut in 2017. In 2018 he premiered his second dance theatre “Et glimt av oss.” Additionally, he has choreographed several pieces shown on different stages in Norway. In 2019 he was the dance soloist in Norways biggest outdoor opera, Il Trovatore, and earlier that year performed in the premiere of Kristian Støvind’s dance piece Fratres.

Johansson’s work is influenced by different dance styles with jazz dance as his base. This autumn he will show his work at Oslo Jazzdancefestival, Poesi i Grenseland, and has been awarded funds from Dansekunst i Østfold and Østfold International Theatre for creating new choreographic work.
