Yoko Higashino began studying modern dance and ballet in 1982. In 2000, Higashino founded Baby-Q Dance Company, through which she collaborates with artists in various fields. Higashino has received a number of awards including Next Generation Choreographer Prize, Toyota Choreography Awards 2004, Yokohama Solo×Duo Competition 2005 and 2006.
