Be-longing (work in progress)

Be-longing is a collaborative project by visual artist Kai Rennes and dancer Ulf Nilseng.

Be-longing is about power structures, particularly those in language, which the artists view as imposing limitations on our thinking about gender and sexuality.

Ulf Nilseng has for a number of years spent time with a community of the deaf in Havana and a good deal of the video material shown in the production was filmed there.

Ulf Nilseng completed his dance training at the Norwegian National Academy of Ballet in 1995 and has been a member of the group Toyboys since 2002, along with Terje Tjøme Mossige.
