Rocío Molina from Spain is one of the foremost innovative flamenco dancers, with deep roots in tradition.
She spellbinds audiences all over the world with her sublime art, technical force and powerful energy. She presents flamenco in its purest form; a passionate and captivating expression of freedom. She tours all over the world and of course all over her home country Spain. She is becoming one of the greatest flamenco dancers of our time. CODA and Dansens Hus are proud to present this versatile dancer and artist in Norway for the first time.
Caída del Cielo directly translates to Fallen from the sky. In this performance, the artist utilises both masculine and feminine, even animal, expressions, in order to create a performance that most of all is about being a woman. With the body in focus, we see a fall with no possibility for retreat or resurrection, a physically exhausting journey from shadow to light, from stillness to noise, from order to chaos.
