Taka Shamoto’s dance background is from her native country of Japan and later from John Neumeier’s opera and ballet school in Hamburg and from P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels. She has danced in a number of productions by the company Rosas and is now employed at P.A.R.T.S. furthering the Rosas repertoire.
Shamoto is interested in finding the connection between body and mind. How can one turn on and off this connection? A key point is liberating movement from control by the mind and using the body as a movement tool.
