Martin Sonderkamp’s training combines a wide variety of different forms of contemporary dance training with other approaches to the moving body (e.g. Alexander Technique). The training aims at sensitising the dancers’ perception and increasing their understanding of applied physical forces in relation to the moving body. After stretching and a floor bar, exercises follow on the floor, in the centre and in movement. The material leads the dancer to an efficient, functional and precise form of movement.
