SOUNDINSTALLATION FOR TWO DANCERS
The production Stjerne.* is designed for young audiences who are new to abstract dance. Produced by the Hedmark Touring Organisation in 1998, it has been staged for thousands of school children all over Norway. The production explores how language, roles, words and movement evolve and acquire new meanings. The production received the Norwegian Performing Arts Award in 2000.
Odd Johan Fritzøe has 25 years’ experience as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. He received his education at the Norwegian National Academy of Ballet and has studied African dance in West Africa and Paris. He was affiliated with Collage Dansekompani for many years, later with companies such as Scirocco and Imago Danseteater. Fritzøe has created many dance works and won the Critics Award in 2009 for the production Sne. Fritzøe was one of the initiators behind the founding of the CODA Festival in 2001.
