A(ttention) Deficit Delight
In this age of ‘smart technologies’, many of us live today in cultural contexts rich in stimuli and with increasing demands on our attention.A(ttention) Deficit Delight is a journey of heightened sensory awareness which drew its inspiration from the mind of an ADHD person.
The performance explores states of heightened sensory awareness, crafted as an intense physical and emotional voyage.
The audience is invited to step into an other-worldly stage, immersed in sound, movement, smell, and the vibrating energy of eight overloading performers.
Bio:
Yaniv Cohen (1977- , Israel) – Koreograf, fotograf og førsteemanuensis i samtidsdans på Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo.
Cohen har jobbet mange år som dansekunstner i inn- og utland. I løpet av karrieren sin har han jobbet med koreografer som Ohad Naharin, Alan Lucien Øyen og Alexander Ekman. Siden 2009 har Cohen koreografert sine egne verk som har blitt vist i Norge og internasjonalt, deriblant stykkene “kill me baby one more time” (2012), “Blanke Ark” (2013), “You look like you” (2016), “Flekker” (2021) og “Deeply Rooted” (2021). Cohens arbeider dreier seg rundt menneskets grunnleggende ønske om å kommunisere og om hvordan mennesket forholder seg til seg selv og omverdenen.
