Red one & Heaven or Tel Aviv

Bærum Kulturhus

4. October - Kl 19.30

5. October - Kl 14.00

Ut i Scenekunsten is a project for and by young dance artists living in Norway. The objective is to produce a performance of high artistic calibre, offering the participants a stepping stone into a demanding dance career nationally and internationally. Bærum Kulturhus – regional centre for dance has invited Swedish-Norwegian Christopher Arouni and the Israeli duo Yossi Berg & Oded Graf, respectively, to take part in this project.

In Red One Arouni explores the concept “the obvious centre of attention”. Who is it that attracts attention – the individual or the group? What is it like to observe from the sidelines? Arouni’s long dance career in Norway began at Carte Blanche and as a choreographer he has won acclaim for his unique and poetic expression and rich movement language. In 2008 Arouni established the company AROUNIDANCE.

Heaven or Tel Aviv will deal with the culture differences and the reality perception between Israel and Norway. How can we define the presence of our own land in one’’s life? In the way we look, in the way we behave or in the way we speak? The duo Berg & Graf are known to be supremely physical, sometimes provocative, and by turns poignant and witty.
They have performed with world-renowned troupes ranging from Batsheva Dance Company and DV8. Since 2005 they have created own dance works and toured with these worldwide.
