What’s wrong with nature?

Through Arne Næss’ Deep Ecology, thought about nature has acquired a central position in Norwegian philosophy. Many researchers say that we now find ourselves in Anthropocene, the Age of Man. We live in relation to nature largely by manipulating it to serve our own human interests. But something is clearly wrong with nature – things are not going according to plan. Where do we go from here? Is technology a part of the solution or the problem? And how can the arts contribute to determining the environmental policy agenda?
