Accessibility during the festival

CODA aims to be a festival for everyone, showcasing diverse abilities both on stage and among the audience. Many of the performances offer a more relaxed theater environment, with audio description, sign language interpretation, and/or artistic practices focused on providing complete experiences for all.

We collaborate with a number of venues, most of which have excellent accessibility, with a few exceptions. In addition to general accessibility in the physical spaces, we consider about half of this year’s performances to be particularly accessible, either through sign language interpretation/audio description or by integrating accessibility into the artistic processes:

an Accident / a Life (Bærum Kulturhus, 15th of October)

  • Audio visual interpretation and english captioning

Cosmetic Demons (The norwegian National Opera, 11th & 12th of October)

Made In Self (MUNCH, 11th-13th of October)

  • Sing language interpreter at the artist talk on October 12th
  • Audio visual interpretation at the first performance on October 12th, at 18:00

Dancer scores in Oslo #2 (Voldsløkka stage, 13th of October)

Dancer (Black Box Theater, 17th & 18th of October)

  • Sing language interpreter at the performance and the after talk on October 18th
