A live cinematic dance performance from the other side of the world.

11. October - Kl 12.00

When Passoverdance was not able to come to Oslo due to COVID-19, their performance was transformed into a meeting between one film director, twenty-four dancers and a choreographer. On 11 October you can experience it at home in your own living room.

Within a grid of 24 squares, 24 dancers and 35 moveable pillars are shifting and turning, moving and re-building the space. The performance addresses the boundaries in our society or systems, where the boundaries may be constantly shifted. In some moments, the dancers dance between the pillars; in others, they move the pillars – prompting the audience to rethink and explore the possibilities of freedom.

Maze: Shifting Boundaries is the work of Pewan Chow, recipient of 2017 Artist of the Year (Dance) by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, and Artistic Director of Passoverdance. It is also a sequel to Maze, winner of the 2013 Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding Independent Production.
