In collaboration with dance studies scholar, dramaturgist and writer Sidsel Pape, a special dance art programme has been created in connection with CODA fringe. Together with author and publisher Geir Gulliksen, Pape will lead a writing workshop seminar for dance artists. The work will provide the basis for discussions about text and dance art, and about the dance works to be staged at CODA fringe, Kunsthall Oslo. The seminar will be in Norwegian.

Writing seminar From dance into text, from text into dance

The seminar is held by writer and publisher Geir Gulliksen (Oktober Forlag) and dance critic Sidsel Pape.

We often talk of dance as having no words, but how true is that. For many dancers the words and descriptions of what they do, or what they want to do, form an important part of their own reflections surrounding the work.

 

The seminar is in Norwegian and will form the starting point for the artist talk at Kunsthall Oslo on Friday October 4th at 19.00.
