Inclusive Dance Art: From vision to reality

Sentralen

16. October - Kl 10.00

How is accessibility integrated into artistic practice and the works themselves? How do institutions and venues facilitate increased information and predictability? And what does inclusion really mean in practice?

We are repeating last year’s successful seminar on increasing inclusion in the dance field and inviting a number of leading artists to present concrete proposals based on their artistic practices.

It has been politically mandated that people with disabilities should be more widely included in the arts and culture sector, both as audiences, performers, and professionals. With this seminar, CODA aims to focus on concrete measures that enable and enhance access to dance art for all.

The seminar is made possible through CODA’s participation in the four-year Creative Europe project ‘Europe Beyond Access.’ The project, among other things, helps realize opportunities for dance artists with disabilities to develop their leadership skills and strengthens the competence for development within accessibility at all levels of the organization.
