Workshop med Claire Cunningham

Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo

18. October - Kl 14.00

In this workshop, one of the leading disabled dance artists in the UK, Claire Cunningham, will share methods and scores central to her work and open up conversations about her choreographic practice.

Cunningham’s methods are based on presence/attention and perception, and practices learned from normative artists. These methods are then seen in the light of concepts from ‘Crip-politics’ and the lived experience of disability.

The workshop is primarily based on structured improvisation and is open to dancers with different physical characteristics and sensory modalities. Participants will use all their senses in tasks that explore attention, movement, and improvisation.
