New faces in the festival team

After four years as marketing manager and project manager for CODA, Sofie Amiri embarks on new challenges, and starts a new job at the National Library. We thank you for your efforts and four good years, and wish you lots of luck in your new job. We will miss you.

Greetings to our new market and communications manager Achy Ouafik. Achy comes from the position as a communication employee at Norsk Publikumsutvikling. He is educated in communication and marketing, and has extensive experience in the field. Achy has a burning commitment to art and culture, and has a long career in the industry, including from Warner Music Norway, Oslo World, NOPA and Øyafestivalen. He was also part of the CODA team in 2021 as marketing coordinator and SoMe manager.

Achy expresses a great commitment to the new job.

– This is a wonderfully exciting task to tackle. I am incredibly motivated and ready to start communicating, marketing and making available all the fantastic dance CODA presents to as many people as possible. Dancing is incredibly fun, and I think a lot of people agree with that.

In addition to Achy, we are fortunate to have Ingvild Kristin Kirkvik as producer and production coordinator. Ingvild was also with us last year. She is a trained actress at NSKI Høyskole and has since then been involved in shaping the theater company Does not matter, for which she is now the general manager. Today, she works as a producer and performing artist on both her own and others’ projects.

– Working with CODA opens up an incredible number of exciting meetings between people, both locally and internationally. I am incredibly happy to get so close to such a diverse and varied environment as the dance field is, and I am very much looking forward to getting started with all the collaborations, festivities and productions that take place at CODA this year!
