CODA x TREKANTEN

Trekanten

13. October - Kl 21.00

In the second week of October, we turn the capital upside down with the Nordic region’s largest contemporary dance festival. But it won’t be a festival without a party!

On 13th of October we invite all our friends to an unforgettable club night in true CODA spirit; with house sessions, resident DJs, and dancing, just as on the underground scene in New York.

With us for the evening we have MUD, who since 2015 have organized events on club stages such as Revolver, Blå, Ingensteds and Jaeger Oslo. MUD originally started as an open house session for dancers from all backgrounds in New York in 2009, and has its roots in genres such as house, funk, disco and boogie. The aim is to recreate the atmosphere that has existed in the club and underground scene in New York since the beginning of the 80s.

The well-known DJ Adipop is also spinning records this evening, and has previously played at festivals such as Øyafestivalen and Vinjerock, as well as clubs in Stockholm, London and New York. The Oslo-based DJ mainly plays electronic music with hints and references to RnB, hip-hop, dancehall, reggae and afro.

The club night takes place at Trekanten- one of the most unique and exciting meeting places in Oslo right now. With its Brualist expression and monumental feel, the stage is set for an incredible dance party  – in the middle of Tullinløkka!

There will be nice wine at good prices and other surprises!

About the artists

MUD (Movement Undefined)

MUD originally started as an open ‘House session’ for dancers from different backgrounds. The concept was created in New York by the female house dance crew MAWU in 2009, and was brought to Oslo in 2015. Since then, MUD has been a common meeting point where, in the spirit of house culture, share our love for music and club culture.

The concept mainly has its roots in genres such as house, funk, disco, and boogie, and aims to recreate the atmosphere that has existed in the club and underground scene in New York since the early 80s.

For more info about their monthly events, check out Facebook and Instagram.
