In AGAIN Ina Christel Johannessen explores the linguistic, existential and cultural contradictions that surround us: femininity /masculinity, inside/outside, and nature/culture in particular, as this work’s key fulcrum. Are human beings at the mercy of repetition’s ritual? Are repetitions the opposite of what is meaningful to us? The choreography’s musical structure and dramaturgy underline the movements’ cyclical return throughout the four parts of the production. The soundscape, performed live by the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, is complex and powerful.
AGAIN is an artistic collaboration between the Swedish composer Marcus Fjellström and choreographer Ina Christel Johannessen. zero visibility corp is one of Norway’s leading dance companies. Johannessen has worked for a number of national and international companies, including Carte Blanche, the Norwegian National Ballet, Cullberg, Ballet de Monte Carlo and City Contemporary Dance Company in Hong Kong.
